INGRAM, Texas, September 22, 2026 — The Ingram Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Donna Jenschke as assistant superintendent of schools during its regular board meeting on Sept. 21.
Jenschke brings more than 40 years of experience in public education, including 20 years in leadership and administration. Her career has included service as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, district administrator and education consultant, with extensive experience in instructional leadership, accountability, strategic planning, teacher development and fiscal planning.
Jenschke has a longstanding connection to Ingram ISD, where she has served in campus and district leadership roles since 2017. Her work with the district has included leadership in the Teacher Incentive Allotment, strategic compensation, compliance, fiscal planning and curriculum alignment.
“I am genuinely excited for the opportunity to serve Ingram ISD as Assistant Superintendent,” Jenschke said. “This district holds a very special place in my professional career and in my heart. Having spent many years serving alongside our staff and administrators, I have experienced firsthand the dedication of our students, families and community. I look forward to building upon the great work already taking place and using my experience, relationships and passion to support our teachers and administrators and create opportunities for every student to succeed.”
Superintendent Dr. Justin Turner said Jenschke’s extensive experience, knowledge of Ingram ISD and commitment to students will be valuable as she steps into this districtwide leadership role.
“Donna has a long history of dedicated service to Ingram ISD and a proven track record of doing what is best for students,” Turner said. “She knows our district, understands our community and has built strong relationships throughout her years of service here. Her ability to bring people together, strengthen systems and keep the focus on student achievement will continue serving our district well. We are excited to have her step into this expanded leadership role and continue making a positive impact across Ingram ISD.”
Throughout her career, Jenschke has served students and staff in both Ingram ISD and Kerrville ISD. She has helped lead four campuses to state and national recognition, including TEA A ratings, Exemplary status, National Title I Distinguished School recognition and Gold Performance honors. Her leadership experience includes budget management, staff hiring and development, compliance, curriculum alignment, accountability and board relations. She has also presented at state and regional education conferences.
Jenschke earned a Master of Education in educational leadership from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in education, cum laude, from Angelo State University. She also completed graduate coursework in gifted and talented education at the University of Texas at Austin and earned her superintendent certification through Lamar University.
Jenschke’s leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration, transparency and data-informed decision-making, with a focus on supporting educators and ensuring students have opportunities to succeed.
