About the Show Set in the early 20th century, The Music Man follows Harold Hill, a charismatic conman who arrives in River City, Iowa, intending to swindle the townsfolk by selling them instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he has no intention of organizing. However, his plans go awry when he falls for the town’s skeptical librarian, Marian Paroo. Through humor, romance, and a parade of memorable songs like "Seventy-Six Trombones" and "Till There Was You," Harold’s journey becomes one of redemption and genuine connection.
